The Journal activity and the Online Text Assignment are very similar, but the Journal activity does not allow the deletion of individual student submissions. Therefore, we have disabled the ability to add any new Journal activities and suggest that you use the Online Text Assignment, instead. Existing Journal activities will continue to function as they always have.
To create an Online Text Assignment, just add a Moodle Assignment activity, but under the Submission Types section choose Onine text instead of File Submissions.
