KB1181 - Latest Announcements Block Not Showing

If the Latest Announcements block is not visible to your students, it may be caused by one of the following:

  • Your course's News forum may be in a hidden state.
    Check to ensure that your News forum (Sometimes titled "Announcements") is in the "Show" state.
  • The Number of announcements setting (found on the course settings page) may be set to zero.
    Change the number to anything above zero. A recommended amount would be 3 to 5.
