You may occasionally want to print a paper copy of an online quiz. Moodle does not provide a built-in "Print" function, but your browser does.
You can format a Quiz to make it fit more nicely on printed pages.
- First, you'll need to make sure that the LAYOUT settings for your quiz (Edit Settings, Layout, New page) are set to print all questions on one page.
- Once that is set, PREVIEW your quiz. You should now see all questions (without answers) on one scrollable screen.
- User your browser to print the results. Both Chrome and Firefox will remove the blocks from the side, giving you just the Question numbers and the Questions themselves.
Note: One possible negative aspect of this is that the page breaks may occur in the middle of a question. You should warn your students to always turn the page to see if there is more on the back, before answering. (One way around the page-break problem might be to limit the number of questions per page in the quiz setting, but then you will have to print, click next page, print, click next page, etc.)
