Externally-hosted online courseware and content can be integrated into VCC Moodle courses using LTI connections.
For example, content that was developed in other learning management systems or provided by text book publishers can be incorporated right into your Moodle course as e-texts or interactive activities, and even integrate with your Moodle course gradebook. This eases access for your Students and helps to consolidate their learning experience in your Moodle course environment.
These eLSupport articles describe how to connect your VCC Moodle course to the remote courseware platforms in use at VCC:
Note: eLSupport can assist you with integrating external content into your Moodle courses, but for learning how to use external content management systems to develop course content, please consult each platform's documentation and/or technical support.
Most of these services (*except for WeBWorK) will provide online support and a customer service representative to assist instructors with onboarding themselves and their students, and with developing content on each service.
(* WeBWorK is an open-source platform with no outside customer service of its own. Contact eLSupport@vcc.ca for help using WeBWorK or integrating it into your Moodle courses.)
